I'm not sure what your point is, but mine is this: It's polite to call those you don't know by their last name. If they deserve your respect then you use "Mr." or "Ms." When you call someone by their first name it implies an intimacy and approval of that person. So, for the press and all of us, we should use "Hussein" when the context is clear or "Saddam Hussein" when it's not or if full clarity is desired. Speaking of Hussein using his first name suggests that you like and approve of him and his actions. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:209916 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
