I think the Yom Kippur War in 1973 was probably a more tense time. By the end of the war, Israel had punished Eqypt and Syria so severely, that the Soviet Union was airlifting supplies and advisors into Egypt around the clock while the US was airlifting supplies into Israel to counter the Soviet supply. This was beginning to look like another cuban missile crisis since the US would not allow the Soviets to place long range missiles in Egypt. Fortunately, both sides managed to keep this from happening and a nuclear crisis was avoided. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Introducing the Fusion Authority Quarterly Update. 80 pages of hard-hitting, up-to-date ColdFusion information by your peers, delivered to your door four times a year. http://www.fusionauthority.com/quarterly Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/message.cfm/forumid:5/messageid:211275 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.5
