Also, remember that Hezbollah is PART OF the Lebanese government, in
both national posts and regional governance.

It is exactly as if the Democratic party attacked Canada. The US would
be (and should be) help responsible. So should Lebanon.

The fact that they cannot or will not reign Hezbollah in is also on
their shoulders. They have decided (rightly or wrongly is not my call)
that they would rather back Hezbollah and prevent another civil war
than denounce Hezbollah and face another civil war. They apparently
think it will be easier to make Israel stop killing them than it would
be to stop Hezbollah killing them.

Truth is, they are probably right. Israel does mourn every innocent
killed, and tries not to kill them. Hezbollah absolutely does not, and
does not care who gets killed (even preferring civilians in most
cases). Which one you would rather have against you?
