for us developers dealing with on-line teaching and learning development, Bb is a forgone decision. Moodle was one of the systems evaluated but the consensus was "not yet"
Bb will replace the existing system here that has been built up over many years with ColdFusion. At the moment, we're evaluating how to migrate hundreds of sites per faculty over to Bb - what translates, what Bb can't do that the existing system can, what will have to be redone from scratch. That's about the extent so far of the knowledge. that and getting some toes wet with JSP/Java accessing the API. Oh, and pain and suffering getting it going in the first place ;-) I'm trying to see how feasable it is to use ColdFusion to access the API (instead of JSP/Java). CF already has java classloaders so I'm hoping the biggest headache is matching datatypes. and that's why I'm asking. thanx barry.b >We run Blackboard here at UK.
