Embryonic stem cells have the potential to form any type of cell. All you have to do is read that sentence to understand the potential there. There's a lot to be done, obviously, but you simply cannot ignore the potential. We could argue semantics about what is "best"....i'm as in love with gene therapy as I am about stem cell potential. http://www.eurekalert.org/pub_releases/2006-10/sg-s2m101306.php > > There have been political arguments that completely ignore the > alternatives that are not religiously objectionalble. If alternatives have been ignored, it's because the debate is on stem cells. Not really sure what you are after here. Are there alternatives? Yep. Do any of them show as much promise, right now, today, as stem cells? Nope. (perhaps subjective, but not if you ask scientists). Anyone who believes stem cells are the ONLY potential cure, have only themselves to blame for their ignorance. >On 10/26/06, Russel Madere <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > >> > >> I support stem cell research.
