I feel the same way about Obama. He'd probably be a great candidate in 2008 or 2012 ... maybe maybe he'd be better off running for Governor of Illinois first. Of course, Senators have a notoriously *BAD* track record in presidential elections. Governors always have it easier because they don't actually VOTE on bills. That being said, I like Bill Richardson (Governor of New Mexico). If I was to pick a senator to run, it might be Joe Biden. But I think he's too smart to run for President. I also like John Edwards, and think that he would've made a great candidate if he'd waited. I'm not sure he can run for President now, though the oddsmakers say he will. On the republican side, I do like John McCain - though he might be too middle of the road for the republican party.
