For a soldier, that is thier job.  And we soldiers truly belive "There is no 
greater love than to lay down one's life for a brother."  He is what the US 
Army mythos is all about.  I'm proud to have shared the same uniform as him.

Personally I never thought I would live to see the end of the Cold War.  I was 
sure I would die on some central European plain.
