Jerusalem has been a holy city to 3 religions for ages now and the homosexuals are coming into 'someone elses' house and making a spectical of themselves. They don't just want to put on a disgusting (and I use that term properly here) show in Tel Aviv, which is a secular city. They want to push their agenda in a city that does not want them. Someone comes into your house and acts in an inappropriate manner, then it is their provocation. Hatred? Yes. According to the religions there (all of them), homosexuality is a sin and them flaunting it in a holy city is deserving of hate. How would CF-Talk take it if some PHP programmers came onto the list and basically starting cursing the members out and putting down CF. Same deal here. And while I don't support violence, the answer is yes, the marchers provoked getting stabbed. If I walked into downtown Saudi Arabia yelling how great it was to be a Jew and you (and your kids) should be one as well, I'd expect to be stabbed. That's what is happening here. So your saying the one and only Jewish state in the world should stop being Jewish? And then it loses its right to exist and will disappear. There are tons of people who will applaud you for that, but I will not be one of them. But besides that, your assertation is incorrect. There are a large number of orthodox who join the military in special units that allow for their religious needs. It's the secular that are trying more and more to 'dodge' their duty. But sticking to an older view of Israel just reinforces the view that you really have no clue what is going on over there and your applying American secular values to a place where they do not belong no matter how hard some try to be more American than American.
