He is finally feeling better and pretty much back to his old self. He was on more medications than my grandparents! The shitty thing was that one of the meds gave him tremors which was frightening to witness... fortunately they only lasted a couple seconds, about 30 minutes after he took his meds. I will say this much, the staff at Main Street Animal Hospital in Reisterstown, MD is awesome. The vets are all about the animals they are entrusted with, especially Dr. Molesworth who absolutely loves English Bulldogs. The vet we use locally is all about the $$$$... The local vet wanted $600 to neuter Herb and claimed the anesthesia was the reason behind the high cost... they also charge for EVERY little thing. They are also not our vet anymore. Main Street Animal Hospital charged us $109 for the surgery and $14 for the medications. That $109 included a 1 night stay with round-the-clock monitoring. When Herb got an abscess the day after he came home, which caused a fever of 104.5, they really proved themselves as awesome vets when they told us to bring him in immediately. Herb wound up being in the hospital for a full week! He had an IV for a couple days. Then, as his fever broke and his infection was brought under control, they kept him for a couple more days to ensure he was OK. They didn't charge for the week in the hospital nor the medicine while in the hospital. The only thing we had to pay for when we picked him up was his take-home meds... $56 worth (5 prescriptions). The entire cost was under $200... not that it mattered... we would have gotten second jobs to make sure he was OK. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Upgrade to Adobe ColdFusion MX7 Experience Flex 2 & MX7 integration & create powerful cross-platform RIAs http:http://ad.doubleclick.net/clk;56760587;14748456;a?http://www.adobe.com/products/coldfusion/flex2/?sdid=LVNU Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Community/message.cfm/messageid:225134 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Community/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5
