There is no "process" to work through. If you want your company to survive this, you publicly fire the individual responsible, and immediately issue an apology to the Sgt, the US military, etc. Then maybe send his unit some free mats as token of your apology.
Yes, and most all of those actions could take a day or two to "process". You have to make sure you fire the person in such a way that they don't have cause to sue you for "wrongful termination". You need time to write and approve a response and make sure all the right people approve it and that it says what they want it to say, without opening themselves up for more problems. It takes time to find out what kind of mats are needed, where to send them, get them packaged and shipped. While I agree this company is in deep doodoo. I understand the inside workings of a company of any size larger then mom and pop to realize they are probably going to take a day or two to get all this done and in place, once they realize everything they need to do in the first place. We once had an employee caught while committing a serious crime (think something like an armed bank robbery) and it still took a full day to properly terminate this person. This does have interesting connotations to the nature of the world and how fast information can fly around the globe. -------------- Ian Skinner Web Programmer BloodSource www.BloodSource.org Sacramento, CA --------- | 1 | | --------- Binary Soduko | | | --------- "C code.
