I have been too busy to really follow this in detail but on my commute from Albuquerque to Santa Fe I often windup listening to the talk shows because those radio stations are the ones you can get out in the desert. And on both NPR and Hannity people were asking well, did he lie on purpose or did he lie because he was mixed up? Um. If he was mixed up, he was not lying. From what I have heard though, I do not believe that this is what happened.
