"Illegal immigration is a problem."
A very complex one! The "gather them all up and deport|jail|shoot them"
approach is not even the start of a solution.

"They may be hard workers, but they have no respect for the law."
That is too large a logical leap for me. They broke emigration law,
they can't be trusted in any way and they must be dealt with in the
harshest ways! I hope you have never gone over the posted speed limit
and waited until you where 18|21 before you consumed any alcohol and god
forbid you have ever partook of a stronger controlled narcotic. Because
those acts obviously show no respect for the law, so you should be given
no considerations.

"They think they are special in some way." Or that many are people
facing hard choices and doing what they can to better their lives and
their descendants.

Something needs to be done about emigration, but it needs to be looked
at from all sides, not just an "us verses them," fear mongering
rhetoric.
