Well - a few things:

1) Randi doesn't dismiss faith. Randi (personally) dismisses the notion of
the supernatural and the religious worshiping of it (note that his
Foundation only confronts religion where it crosses into hokum, as in faith
healing or stigmata). Faith can be directed at anything: a spouse, a
country, a friend a pet. As an atheist I have a lot of faith: in people and
ideals - just not in a magical man in the sky (although I do have a lot of
faith in a magician in Florida). Faith is good, blind faith is not.

2) A definition of "god" refers to man worthy of adoration and/or somebody
worthy of deification. Randi is just that to many people. Nobody has
labored longer, harder or more selflessly in the seemingly impossible
mission to eliminate bunk from our world.

3) Yes, it is ironic. ;^)
