yeah, we bought ours 5 years ago and it was in pretty bad shape cosmetically
.... pure 70's décor ... old lady smell ... we decided the only way we'd make
money when we sold was to rehab everything ... I think the list of
improvements we included with our seller's disclosure was 2 pages long

BUT

If we get our asking price we stand to clear about $20,000, only about a
third of which will be from equity, in an area where most prices have stayed
the same or fallen from 5 years ago ... so the work, frustration, and late
nights are definitely worth it

(we did the doors too ... I will never, never, never, as long as I live,
replace interior doors again ... what a major PITA)

Sounds like you live in my subdivision...

My condo was built in 1974, I've done a ton of stuff

New carpet
New paint
Remodeled spare bathroom
Replaced interior doors
Reinforced stair rail
Replaced locks
Replaced door handles
Installed ceiling fans
Replaced breaker box

I still need to:

Install fan in spare bathroom
Take pictures

....scream..
