Of course, the fact that this is the same deal offered to Israel in 1981 
and rejected might be interesting. And the fact that this deal was never 
officially offered but instead 'mentioned' to a NYTimes reporter. It's 
basically smoke for now, but Israel is calling their bluff and asking to 
hear about it officially.
