Do you have to agree with the political objective of Linus to be allowed to use Linux? > Does it suggest to the mail admin that they ought to check with senior > management to see whether they think it is appropriate for their > organization to be directly supporting a political cause? You do realize that mere mortals like you and me can not even subscribe to apews? That they only provide their list to a limited number of others that are very aware of how DNS RBLs work and what impact they may have? > What if, for > instance, a major corporation that does tens of millions of dollars of > business with Time Warner is blocking Time Warner's email? Consider what would happen if people actually start boycotting Time Warner because it allows spammers on its network? > The mail administrator gets his head handed to him by the CEO, > that's what happens. If you implement a blacklist that is not covered by policy that is what you deserve. apews does exactly what they claim to do: they run a RBL that lists spammers and spam supporters with limited regard for bystanders and allow others to base policy decisions on that RBL by publishing it. We should all be grateful that they share and allow us to use their list to apply our own policies.
