Where would we be? Economically devastated. This genie was let out of the bottle 80 years ago and we can adapt or die; it's simple economic evolution. But the answer to your question is easy: China would slow down their blistering growth, pushing some people back into the jungle to live off of it as they always have. But they'd find plenty of new customers.
