Gov. Kathleen Blanco is contemplating becoming an author after she leaves
office in January.

Blanco declined to discuss her book plans Thursday.

The governor’s press secretary, Marie Centanni, said Blanco is not ready to
talk publicly about the book.

Blanco may write about her entire term rather than focus solely on hurricanes
Katrina and Rita, Centanni said. The governor does not have a publisher, she
said.

It will probably have a lot of short words in it and be meant for someone with
her mental capacity, children.
