The problem with keeping score is not with the kids, but with the adults
(in my experience from years as a ref). If the parents can avoid
getting over-competitive ('cause, you know, whether the 5 year old won
his soccer game matters to him a lot) then there's no problem keeping
score. However, I've banned parents from mentioning it, since they got
pushy and were rude to each other over it.

Of course, I've also knocked over middle-aged women who wouldn't stay
off my line, so maybe I'm just a jerk. :-)
