Boy howdy, you'd better freakin' believe it ... Actually, the basement is an unfinished walkout and we plan to add a 5th bedroom, third bath, and our super-duper completely geeked out entertainment room. So most of the heavy-duty wiring will be needed in an area that will be completed after the fact. My stepdad is an electrician, so we have a family connection to do that stuff, luckily.
BUT, we did have them put a cable jack in all the bedrooms upstairs and two in the living room (@ $90 a pop -- yeesh). And at least an outlet every so-odd feet, whatever code is. Good call on the water spigots ... I'll have to ask what's standard and see if we need to add any. -----Original Message----- From: Erika L. Enough electrical outlets, especially where you dont think you'd want one, eventually you do, and wire an extra 220 outlet, especially in the garage.... Make sure there's enough outside water spigots, one in front, one in back ..... and it wouldn't hurt to run electric to the yard ... never know when you might want a hot tub ... I mean - well just stuff I'd think would be great to do now - while it's inexpensive - and it would add something "nice" to put on the sales flyer down the road...
