This is the motherboard:
Intel BLKD975XBX2KR LGA 775 Intel 975X ATX Intel Motherboard - OEM
http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16813121060

DDR 800 Memory standard.

I'm considering this memory:

CORSAIR XMS2 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400)

Is that good enough or should I go for faster memory? Will this memory
overclock at all?

what memory is suggested by the motherboard.
newegg has great reviews on speedy memory, but you need to know what
type your mb supports first.
