I'll second the Pandora suggestion. Also, while I am not really a C/W
fant I do like me some alt.country, which seems to be a southwestern
thing as I got blank looks the last time I mentioned it here. Try Joe
Ely, John Hiatt, Steve Earle and Hank Williams III (the 3rd is
important as Hank 1 and 2 are old-timey country, classic in their
genre, but not to my taste).

For a slightly different flavor take a look at Los Lobos, Calexico and
Los Lonley Boys.
