I had the same problem with my dad when I hit the teenage years. They totally raised me to speak up for injustice but then my dad had trouble with me "talking back" when I turned 14 or so. Looking back I have to laugh, because I did exactly what both parents taught me to do - question authority, not take crap from anyone and to buck the system if its not right.
