> bastards... I used to have a 204 mile commute by road so I can sympathise. From time to time I used to commute to Rotterdam, Holland from Birmingham, England by plane which was fun but I wouldn't want to do that now with all the anti-terror measures there are these days...
My longest commute was from London to Jacksonville, Fl. for a two days work a few years back. Fun but tiring... These days, building web sites and consulting generally means my commute is from the breakfast table to the home-office and it takes all of 30 seconds so I'm pretty lucky now. The rise of super fast cable broadband really makes it silly for me to do anything else. I have a friend that commutes 300 miles (round trip) by train every day and although he goes first class with free food and alcohol, I still think he is nuts.
