I am looking for some way to allow our users to drag and drop some interface blocks around the screen but I have a few requirements I just don't seem to be able to meet.
1) Blocks can be of any height but all have the same width. 2) Blocks should push each other up/down columns and not simply overlap. 3) Positions MUST be saved for users next visit. I can find loads of drag'n'drop scripts but most allow the divs to be positioned on top of each other and that is no good, this is to be used on a complex menu interface and needs to push things around in the iGoogle style. The closest I have found is http://tool-man.org/examples/sorting.html but the blocks have to be of equal size and in a fixed grid, I need it so that if someone puts all the blocks in one column they stay in one column. Anyone any idea how to replicate iGoogle functionality? -- Jay No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Free Edition.
