:Has anyone tried them, or seen them in action? Yes, we're about 35% LED this year
:Are they close enough to the regular small lights? They're much brighter and don't get hot Have they solved the "one bulb is out, all others are out" thing? :Yup.. This is something I may need to check out. They're more expensive than regular bulb, but they last about 20x longer, and you can get odd shaped bulbs, stars, balls, a lot of stuff they can't do reasonably with glass. -- Scott Stewart ColdFusion Developer SSTWebworks 4405 Oakshyre Way Raleigh, NC. 27616 (703) 220-2835 http://www.sstwebworks.com http://www.linkedin.com/in/sstwebworks Boycott Sys-Con http://www.sstwebworks.com/blog/index.cfm/2007/10/16/Boycotting-SysCon -----Original Message----- From: Jerry Johnson [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Thursday, December 06, 2007 2:38 PM To: CF-Community Subject: Speaking of green holidays, LED Christmas tree lights I just read this on one of our company's blogs: http://mddailyrecord.blogspot.com/2007/12/have-you-switched-to-led-holiday-l ights.html > National Geographic says that if everyone replaced their conventional holiday > light strings with LEDs, at least two billion kilowatt-hours of electricity could be > saved in a month - enough to power 200,000 homes for a year.
