My wife never watched "Rome" and I was glued to it.

She get's pissed at me: as I'm watching "Journeyman" I'll yell things like
"Lucius Vorenus won't take treatment like that!"

Of course I always consider actors in any show as being the sum of their
characters. I think that's why I love "Boston Legal" so much... it does
that for me.

(Did anybody catch the "Communicator" noise when Denny opened his phone on
the last episode... I laughed for minutes on end and my wife had no idea
what was going on.)

Yeah... I much prefer a "slow burn" on show. I know that they can't do it
much because of rating pressures, but I think that networks need to start
considering the long haul instead of the instant hit.

Building a show's audience is harder, yes, but it's more reliable in the
long run.

Of course it is... I like it. ;^)

Like I said - The networks have to suck it up and start working at a loss
with some of these shows and build their audiences. I'm glad they're, at
least, giving the better ones the chance to "finish" - "Studio 60" for
example - but I can't see how such shows wouldn't eventually gather a
self-sustaining audience eventually.

YES!

When they're sitting next to each other in the booth or standing next to
each other in the kitchen!

I know it's a "fairy tale" and I'd bet dollars to doughnuts it's on purpose
but even as I'm laughing my ass off on the show I have this vague queasy
feeling in the pit of my stomach.
