Sam - he's saying that the viewpoints of other people who base their votes on their faith are irrelevant. People ought to be able to separate what they believe in their hearts from how they vote. People should be voting for a presidential candidate based on everything except his moral compass, which really ought to be either nothing or an insulting made up false religion meant to do nothing but degrade the people he accuses of herd mentality. Man stuff just flies right over your head.
