Certainly many of these companies probably *wink* *wink* these hires (either just pay them cash or accept dubious documents as proof of status), but then that's not really an immigration problem that's a business ethics issue. E.g., we shouldn't eliminate pharmacies because they have drugs that people without prescriptions want. The truth of it is, these people are working, in many cases paying taxes, and our unemployment rate is at historic lows. So what's the problem? Make them citizens and be done with it. We need workers and they need a job.
