well I'll add one thing and then be quiet. The reason the OP is not considering the pound is that it is locally notorious for poor conditions, and they do not consider pit bulls adoptable, I am told, period. So that *would* be a death sentence and not a quick or painless one either.Not that Scott is suggesting the pound -- just fleshing out the picture.
