I am pre-ordering this DVD from Amazon the moment it's possible. Never read the comic book series (didn't even know there was one), but I was absolutely transfixed.
I went into the movie thinking that it would be a good movie for just the FX -- I have come to expect little from Hollywood -- but this was a masterfully crafted storyline. The FX served the plot; the plot wasn't just there to play second fiddle to the FX. Greatly exceeded my expectations. I'm seeing this again in the theater.
