Dog set on fire in Lancaster Investigators look for suspects after neighbors hear yelping then see the dog running with its fur ablaze. The pit bull mix is being treated for burns. Investigators are searching for the person or persons who set a dog on fire in Lancaster Monday night. Neighbors in the 300 block of East Lingard Street heard the pit bull mix yelping, then saw it running into the street, its fur ablaze, at about 11:30 p.m., said Los Angeles County sheriff's lieutenant Lt. Ed Stewart. One neighbor put a coat over the dog, extinguishing the flames, Stewart said. The dog was later taken to a county animal shelter where it was being treated today for burns to its legs and back. Stewart said the individuals responsible could face felony animal cruelty charges The motherfu**ers need to suffer excruciating pain for many days.
