I've been trying for a couple of weeks to use this third party web service (SOAP type) that's done in .net. Ruby has trouble with it along with CF. The debugging is horrid as the errors from the SOAP service come back as something akin to "The webservice has experienced an error, contact your administrator for help".
So, I broke down and downloaded the express edition of visual studio 2008. Holy crap! That is a really nice IDE and extremely quick! I think, in the end, that I still prefer my textmate, but that just puts the other IDE's to shame. To be fair, I don't see too many .net devs being able to develop without visual studio, vs being able to do both cf and ruby easily without an IDE. Maybe I'll start playing with .net a little bit more though......maybe. zB "So I mixed up the batter and she licked the beater!" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Adobe® ColdFusion® 8 software 8 is the most important and dramatic release to date Get the Free Trial http://ad.doubleclick.net/clk;192386516;25150098;k Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Community/message.cfm/messageid:261670 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Community/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.5
