So, would you keep the trains running?

A lot of people think I should let folks reap what they sow, but I
don't like doing that when it's bad stuff growing. Well, and when I
helped build the trains, with blood, sweat and years.

Is it our karmic duty to dole out the bad, when it's deserved?

Like, there was this guy, and I had a "free pass" for beating him up.
He deserved it, asked multiple people for a good one, and I was going
to be the one that (finally) gave it to him.

When I went to find his ass and do a grass/lawnmower type o' deal, it
was all apologies and whatnot.

I'm anti-violence, and he, a friend (yes, you can beat up friends-- at
least certain ones), and I just accepted the apology and said screw
it.

I don't regret the decision, but I wonder if by not doing what
"should" be done, I'm dropping the karma ball, if you will.

Of course karma found someone else to dole out the noggin knocks, as
those who live by the sword, die by the sword, but still...

I don't have a problem with regulating my children, while they're
young, but the rest...

Are we our brother's keeper? How much should we interfere with the
natural order of things? Is there a natural order?

If I leave, many good, already stressed out people will be more
stressed out. The Work, which has been running for over a decade,
will cease to run. There will be slippage even further back in time
(you wouldn't believe how far we've slid already-- it is crazy! But
as the knowledge leaves, and is not replaced... bit by bit, we crumble
back towards barbarianism (time to bust out the Conan Style!)).

I already know my answer, I have to see it through, as far as I'm
able... but man... this power to change the world weighs heavy on me.
