Ahhh, I think I see the disconnect. At this point I need to get basic pricing for things and a "general feel" for installation costs and lead time requirements. Our remodel hasn't even been approved by building owners so we're at least 6-9 months out. I'm trying to be proactive and have the ability to say, "what you're looking for is in the ballpark of..." I'm trying to avoid "sticker shock" or at least have a justifiable reason for it. Without a doubt I'll be doing some of the rewiring and things of that nature, but I have NO clue about the cost aspect of things like fire suppression or generators.
