Hi Guys, Just saw this thread and thought I would chime in. I remember listening to George when I was a kid in the 70's and I absolutely loved him. He can take the most mundane simple things people do or say and make it into something so funny I almost wet myself. I have to say though that lately his routines started out pretty funny, but then he would get all political on the audience, and that is where I would be totally turned off and eventually tune him out. Still, overall one of the funniest comedians that I have ever heard. May he rest in peace and keep heaving rolling in laughter.
Oh, and to get a bit off topic. I am settled into my new unit at Fort Carson and I am shipping out to Iraq somewhere around September. I am looking forward to this rotation since I am now dismounted infantry. This is the kind of shit I eat up and I look forward to having a good time in Iraq. Fort Carson is awesome. My first day here I rode my quad up in the mountains, and my second day I did some rock climbing at the Garden of the Gods. Man what a beautiful place. Surely if there was anywhere that He placed his hand, it was this place. I am just disappointed that I am leaving to Iraq before ski season. I am so looking forward to falling on my ass many times while learning to snowboard. And they have a great sky diving school here so I plan to do that as well when I return. OK, gotta to for a nice run.
