Thank you! Among other activities, I hope to do a couple that, while not unique to the USA, define some of what I love about our nation.
I will visit a Rev war graveyard, and do a census (maps, photos, genealogy research on each individual) I will visit the Nathan Lester House, and partake in a "traditional 4th" I will visit the Nautilus Museum I will go hiking in a state park I will drive my car to another state for purposes of commerce (beer), and not show ID any place. I will shoot my musket (gun range, couple of rifles and a smoothbore) I will send a letter to my congressman, with a couple of ideas, and some criticism of his recent votes. I will shoot at least one firework I will run my boat up and down the lake, and try to convince a couple of fish to join our barbecue. I will check out a book at my local library. I will give a donation to a local family at the local church (tragic drownings, on top of years of disasters) I will light a bonfire on my own land. I will eat food I grew. I will open a new business I will buy a drink or meal for an active military person I will help a neighbor with a project too big for one person. I will buy vegetables from a local farmer. I will drink from my own well. I will drink a watery beer with my father and friends I will play softball, volleyball and horseshoes I will walk to the icecream stand for freshly made icecream I will eat a big, huge steak i got for $3.42 a pound (top round black angus). I will watch at least to bands play outdoors I will stay up too late, and wake up too late. God, I love the 4th.
