I was a bit puzzled by the choice but I just watched his speech in
Springfield and I do like what I see -- a touch of Irish fire there
and some down to earth been-there talk. Also an older white guy, which
may help the demographics, but if some of what I hear is true, maybe
that doesn't make him more of the same. I like the foreign policy
credentials and the fact that he stood up to Milosovich.

I think the talk of the American dream slipping away may be what the
campaign needs.

I am cautiously optimistic :)
