The answer was likely already posited by Judah. It's the polls... When you
factor in "likely voters" using the new system which includes butloads of
bogus democrats, the polling organizations are forced to factor that in to
the polling data by increasing the numbers of democrats vs. republicans in
the poll. This will invariably lead to inflated "support" for Obama. If
you can get that number big enough, you might just get some republicans to
stay home on election day rather than go out and vote for some one that's
obviously already going to lose... The polls said so...

Subject: Re: ACORN under FBI investigation

There are only three possible reasons I can think of that such widespread
over-registration by ACORN could be happening:

1. a very unfortunate coincidence
2. a concerted campaign to inflate the voter rolls and thereby influence
public opinion about momentum (witness all the stories about the wave of
Democratic registrations as supposed evidence of a shift in sentiment in the
country)
3. someone actually means to vote using those fraudulent registrations- via
ballot-box stuffing by poll workers, fake ID, or absentee ballot

The first reason seems highly improbable based on the emerging evidence. So
is the right answer behind door number two or door number three? I have no
idea.
