On Friday, I was carpooling home and we were waiting in the line to
get onto the highway. The car I ride in has one Obama sticker and one
Republicans for Voldemort sticker. I am in the passenger side and I
notice this guy, probably in his 50's, niceish bmw, suit jacket,
sunglasses. He's periodically beside us and talking at us quite
animatedly, so I roll down my window to see what he's saying.

"Ignorant assholes! Voting for a nigger!"

So I just smiled, waved and said "Thanks!" and then it was our turn to
get on the highway. I don't think of Oregon as any sort of magical
Utopia, but it still really shocks me when I encounter outright racism
like that.
