I don't know the proper drawing methods for a real schematic, so I'll try to do
it verbally...

Cable from the wall goes to an rf converter box, which I have to use because my
dvr/cable box won't pick up the signal coming from the ps3 on its aux inputs.
So I have the cable from the wall and the ps3 red, white and yellow going into
the rf box. RF box puts the ps3 signal onto channel 3 or 4. Co-ax out from
the rf box to the dvr. Stereo out from the dvr to the stereo amp. Co-ax out
from the dvr to the tv. The noise/humming only happens when the signal is set
to the ps3 on channel 3 or 4. Regular cable sounds fine.
