If you mean your dropdown menus are layers then:

Yeah we've had the same problem here ... and i noticed it on m$ too

The workaround here (and m$ i remember somebody mentioned after) .. when
displaying the dropdowns 'hide' the other elements using jscript -
blahblah.style.visibility = 'hidden'; / blahblah.style.visibility =
'visible';

Hope this helped a bit.

SteG. :)

Subject: Z-index problem

OK, here's the sitch... And I know I should REALLY post this to Talk,
but you know me... <g>

We have this site with drop-down menus, they have a high z-index (I've
taken them to 90 to get rid of them), and just below on one page there's
2 SELECT boxes with submit buttons beside them

Now, when the drop-downs come visible, they go over the top of the
submit buttons, but not the drop-downs, which is VERY annoying

Does anyone know of any issues where z-indexes are "ignored" because of
certain things?

Any herlp would be appreciated...

I've stripped everything else off the page just to get these done...
