If this was from the DoD then there may be a question of credibility. Unfortunately, this was written by reporters, some of whom were local to the story. And this is just the MSM version of the story. It's been covered in the past by more local and indi media outlets which also covered the luxury 'rehabilitation' center in Saudi Arabia.
