I am helping someone shop for a new hdtv. They are primarily interested in sports, so I am recommending a plasma rather than a lcd because of the need to display fast movement.
However, they were looking for a 32 inch model, and the smallest plasma I can find is 42 inches. Do they make anything smaller? Or should we just go with a lcd? Also, when a station broadcasts a game(or other content) in HD, what resolution is it? 720 or 1080? Is there any benefit with the better resolution if you are not watching bluray?
