I'm jumping in kind of late on this so sorry if this was covered. If you're from Canada or Mexico you can work in the US thanks to the NAFTA agreement relatively easily. There is a section that contains a list of job titles/positions that qualify. Computer System Analyst is one of them. That's how I was able to work in the US. To do this you have to get a job offer on company letter head from a US company with that exact title stating that attempts to fill the job with a qualified US worker failed and IIRC proof that the ran an ad in a local paper for the position. This gets you a TN Visa which must be renewed annually. It's a pretty simple process, show up at any border crossing with the paper work and away you go.
Both my wife and I worked in the US for about 10 years, the first 4 on TNs. How does one work in the states? it's not an easy process. From where you are you need to convince an employer that you are special enough to go to the trouble of navigating the process.
