I'm jumping in kind of late on this so sorry if this was covered.

If you're from Canada or Mexico you can work in the US thanks to the NAFTA
agreement relatively easily. There is a section that contains a list of job
titles/positions that qualify. Computer System Analyst is one of them.
That's how I was able to work in the US. To do this you have to get a job
offer on company letter head from a US company with that exact title stating
that attempts to fill the job with a qualified US worker failed and IIRC
proof that the ran an ad in a local paper for the position. This gets you a
TN Visa which must be renewed annually. It's a pretty simple process, show
up at any border crossing with the paper work and away you go.

Both my wife and I worked in the US for about 10 years, the first 4 on TNs.

it's not an easy process. From where you are you need to convince an
employer that you are special enough to go to the trouble of navigating the
process.
