I'm just trying to see the code that is in this JAR file that is saving
information to a "database" that is a bunch of ndp and ndx files which I
thought were pervasive sql but they aren't since they don't have the
pervasive header in them.

What Scott's saying is true... but I think that your question is different.
JARs are just zip files with an alternate extension and a standardized
directory structure (so are WARs and EARs for that matter) - you can unzip
them using any "zip" tool.

But are you talking about decompiling Java class files?  If so that's a
different ball game.
