I use the LinkSys running the "Tomato" OS firmware - truly excellent.

All the features you could want (and hundreds more) for a home network,
excellent bandwidth tracking and PC control (parental and otherwise).

Tremendous flexibility and the router itself is only like $50 (but no "N"...
still "G" is PDQ and much more common in devices).
