I think the use of the term "mass destruction" is a little unwarranted.
Murder and destruction, yes, but mass destruction brings to mind more than a
single building, no matter how many people are there.

But besides that, I don't think I've ever seen a more apologetic news piece
in my life. Most of it looked like it was trying to explain away their
crimes. They were poor, or of lower intelligence, or had this problem, or
that problem. It really looked like MSNBC was trying to make me feel sorry
for these guys.

One thing that is played down is their prison conversion to Islam. The AP
article says an important thing in that area:
"His (Payen) statements on Islam often had to be corrected, according to
Assistant Imam Hamin Rashada"
http://www.google.com/hostednews/ap/article/ALeqM5hXaournxorG5EDGGyJA9X-K9Y3KwD98AKR0O0

Yes, what they are basically saying is that the Islam that Payen converted
to was not the one that Hamin knew. In other words, prison Islam is
something different.

I've read a number of articles about the version of Islam taught in prisons
and the type of conversions going on. The Islam there is a very militant,
anti-America, anti-Jew, war based one that is not always true to the words
of the Koran, let alone the spirit. Maybe to some of the Hadith, but.... I
doubt that there is any peace taught in prison Islam.

And one countries name keeps coming up as sponsoring the material or the
training of the prison Imams. Guess which one.
