Personally I find it over the top - which is why it works for me - but
I think others might find it too aggressive.

However I think it's a know-your-audience type thing so some might be
looking exactly for this.

You might create another version that's more "fortune 500" that talks
about the value you uniquely can bring; what differentiates you from
others.

e.g.,

With over 15 years of experience in e-commerce, IT systems management,
and development I've learned that online retailing is more than just
the technology, it's a managed connection to the customer that
delivers world-class service to keep them coming back.  To enable that
service e-commerce systems must be well planned, well documented, and
well managed.  This creates the agility to change with your market and
delivers the data to understand it.  My experience in a variety of
segments and environments has taught me to first listen to and
understand the customer and then consistently deliver the IT that
supports their needs.  I would appreciate the opportunity to meet with
you to describe in detail how my experience can deliver results for
your business.

that's just off the top of my head, but something along those lines
that's more conversational in terms of an intro - the classic
"elevator pitch" where if that's all you heard you'd be interested.
