It starts a lot faster.

You can actually use your computer a lot sooner from launch.

There are far less services loaded at launch.

It handles memory a lot more efficiently than Vista.

It is optimised for SSD hard disks.

The User Interface is much enhanced, I love it over Vista and have
found it improves productivity

The DRM is the same crap that was in Vista, and it will never change
until the RIAA stops being such an influential lobby.

Home networking is much improved.
